About the Synagogue

Kfar Tapuach is a unique population blend that typifies
the miraculous ingathering of the exiles that G-d has
granted us in our time. What brings everyone together
is the common desire to connect to G-d and sanctify His
Holy Name. Every Jew, according to his father’s tradition
and particular orientation, prays for the Final Redemption
– one that will be facilitated through mutual respect for one
another despite our diverse backgrounds and views. It is
this striving for true unity and mutual respect that serves as
the foundation for the Tapuach Central Synagogue that will
hopefully, with G-d’s help, be a catalyst for the establishment
of Third Temple, may it be built speedily in our days.

Planning Rationale

The design and planning of the spiritual center of the
community reflects the specific needs and desires of the
residents. The structure planned will enable the different
sects of the settlement (Sefardi, Ashkenazi, Yemenite) to
pray according to their custom. The entrance and courtyard
outside the synagogue will be common to all worshippers,
but inside there will be three separate halls of prayer so
that each worshipper can pray according to his tradition.
Each hall will face south towards Jerusalem and the
Temple Mount , with the women’s section above. Designs
on the walls of each prayer hall will include sloping walls
reminiscent of a tent shape, ” How Good Are Your Tents
Jacob, your dwelling place, Israel”. Not only does the tent
symbolize our transient state in this world compared to
the eternal G-d, but it also symbolizes Jewish hospitality
(Abraham’s tent), something very characteristic of the
residents in Kfar Tapuach.
